Pollard Finally Given Committee Assignments

After Del. Albert Pollard won the special election in the 99th last February to fill Rep. Rob Wittman’s old seat, he was sworn in the very next day. But because it was so late in the session, Speaker Bill Howell did not assign Pollard to any committees…until now.

Due to Del. Pollard’s extensive background in agricultural and enviornmental issues, he was assigned to…..the House’s Finance and Counties, Cities, and Towns Committees?! Okaaaay. To make room, Howell booted Del. Bob Hull from Finance and Del. Dwight Jones from Counties, Cities, and Towns.

Amazing.

  1. Hey, don’t bitch. He’ll do a lot more good for Stafford County on those committees. That may be why Howell put him there. Better be careful though, Bill: Your new neighbor Stuart only won by a few hundred.

  2. ‘Way to go, Albert.

  3. Few hundred? He crushed it in Stafford. Leaves Pollard knowing that he will never take this seat because Stafford aint blue.
