Out-of-town on December 11th? Make sure you vote in the special election for the 1st Congressional District. And please cast your ballot for Phil Forgit.
Visit your local registrar of voters, fill out the paperwork, and VOTE. Today, I early-voted in Stafford, because on December 11th I will be away on business. The entire process took all of a couple of minutes and was pain-free.
Votes may be cast by paper-ballot. But they may also be cast using the Diebold DRE “touch-screen” units. which is how I cast my vote. There are no write-in candidates allowed in a special election (and for that Stafford County Electoral Board says THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

So far I’ve gotten two mailings from Wittman, neither one of which says anything about insuring the CD-1’s military industrial complex will be continued to be represented should he be elected. Maybe his first pick for committee assignments won’t be Armed Services but Merchant Marine and Fisheries. The first mailing focused on preserving the way of life on the water (?), promised to continue to deny 10 percent of the population of basic human rights, while also denying 51 percent of the population the right to make their own decisions on reproductive health matters. With terror and traffic too, yada, yada. This guy’s supposed to be a moderate?
The second mailer had him posing in the same oxford-cloth shirt somewhere near in the Sonoran desert — supposedly looking out to make sure none of those dangerous illegal brown people are sneaking into the US. Where did Wittman find the time to join the Minimen Militia? The wonders of Photoshop!
Make that 3 mailers in the past 4 days. Today’s piece includes Mr. Whittman talking to “regular” folks..(heads up giveaway that these are posed pics due to the lady’s large silver elephant belt buckle-slightly hidden by jacket)
Today’s topics are: Out of control spending and fraud. The current administration have those areas covered well. Waiting for the “Hillary IS COMING” scare mailer.
Got that one too, in yesterday’s mail. HA! I didn’t notice the elephant belt buckle — it just looked like a posed picture anyway.Does Wittman think senior citizens are more concerned about waste, fraud and abuse than they are about access to health care, affordable prescription drugs and the high price of heating their homes?
Great advice to 1st District Dems, Dan! Absentee voting fits a lot of voters in this area and it’s well worth the effort to ensure that our votes go to Phil.
